Tom Darwin
Founder
Tom is a business owner, entrepreneur and commercially focused leader with more than 20 years’ experience in sales, business development and growing and managing successful businesses.
His experience hasn’t come from success alone. Over the course of his career, Tom has experienced both the highs and lows of business ownership — growing successful businesses alongside ventures, decisions and investments that haven’t worked as planned. Those experiences have shaped a pragmatic approach to growth, risk and decision-making, grounded in what actually happens when you are responsible for the outcome.
Today, as Group Managing Director and co-founder of a multi-company group, Tom remains actively involved in commercial strategy, sales, operations, financial performance, leadership and growth.
He understands the realities behind the numbers — building teams, winning and retaining customers, improving margins, managing cashflow, developing management structures and putting the right systems and accountability in place as a business grows.
Darwin & Co. was created to bring that experience to other ambitious owner-managed businesses. Tom works directly with owners and leadership teams to understand where a business is, where its owners want to take it, and what needs to change to get there.
Practical, commercially grounded support built on real-world experience — including the lessons learned when things haven’t gone to plan.

Our Philosophy
Good businesses don’t need more complexity. They need the right things done well.
We believe the strongest businesses are built on clear decisions, good people, commercial discipline and accountability. Growth should improve a business, not simply make it bigger or harder to manage.
Our role is to bring experience and perspective, challenge thinking where needed, and work alongside the people in the business to turn better decisions into meaningful change.
Ultimately, our involvement should create more value for the business than it costs — through improved performance, stronger margins, greater efficiency or better decisions.
